Who is "The Strictly Mint Card Co"?
Though we are one of the largest mail order companies in the card hobby we are in fact a family owned operation. My wife and I (Debbie and Mike DeLuca) are the owners and the only 2 people you'll ever talk to on the phone or receive emails from. We handle EVERY aspect of your order and can offer better customer service than others because of this.

Is my information safe with Strictly Mint?
YES! We NEVER give out our client's personal information, nor do we believe in telephone soliciting. The only time you'll receive a call from us is if there is a problem with an order or you've requested a call as an item becomes available. (UPS will be given your email address so they can send you the tracking # of your package. If you don't want the tracking # just mention that in the "Comments" section of the checkout procedure)

What types of payment do you accept? Layaways? Hold items until my check arrives?
We accept almost every payment type imaginable. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Checks (In U.S. funds, drawn on an American bank), Money Orders (U.S. funds), Wire Tranfers, Paypal.

How to pay by check/money order on the site: Simply place your order through the checkout procedure and mark "Check/Money Order" as your payment type. When you are finished an email confirmation with the item(s) ordered, total due and mailing address will be sent to you. The cards are automatically reserved for 10 days! It is better to hold the cards this way than to email us for a total, especially on weekends. During the time it takes for us to read and respond to your question the card(s) may be bought by another and might not be available. If you have any questions you can put them in the "Comments" section during checkout or email us directly.

Credit card orders: New customers must have their first order shipped to the billing address that the credit card statements are mailed to. This is for your protection and ours. If you have recently moved or must use an alternate shipping address please call us during normal business hours and we'll see what arrangements can be made.

How fast do you process orders and how long does delivery take?
We process all credit card orders placed Monday through Friday within 24 hours. Orders placed over the weekend are normally processed 1st thing on Monday morning. Money orders receive same day shipping, checks may require a 7-10 day holding period.

Delivery times vary depending on how close you live to us (we are in New York) and the type of shipping you choose. Normal delivery times are 2-7 business days in the U.S. and 3-14 days for international orders.

Do you accept international orders?
We gladly accept orders from around the world! We've been selling internationally for over 10 years and are very familiar with the special handling your order requires, unlike others who are just starting out with wordwide shipping.

How will my items be packaged to assure they arrive safely??
All single cards are put into sleeves, then a top load and finally into a poly team set bag to assure they don't get loose in transit.

Complete Hand Collated Sets are packed securely in set boxes so the cards don't move around during transit. Factory sets are still sealed in their original packaging and are well protected.

The orders are then placed into bubble envelopes or heavy shipping boxes and packed with protective materials when needed. We can't stop your UPS driver or mailman from dropping, kicking or sitting on packages but we make sure they can't damage the cards inside!

Can I check items I've ordered in the past or the status of a current order on-line?
Certainly! You can view your ordering history quickly and at your own convenience simply by logging in to the site and clicking on My SMCCI (Has all orders since the new site went live in August of 2001, for prior orders just email us)

As soon as your order is placed on-line you should receive an email confirmation from us with the items and order total. If you don't receive this email within an hour of placing an order please let me know, most likely your email address just needs to be corrected. (AOL users, please remember to add @aol.com to your screen name)

If we ship your order via UPS (75% of our orders are shipped UPS) you will receive an email from them with the tracking # of your shipment. Log on to UPS.com with that # for full tracking details.

How often is SMCCI.com updated???
EVERY minute of every day! Our site is real-time inventory enabled and instantly changes the listings as a new card or set comes in or a one of a kind item is sold!

For example: If you see an item marked as "1 left" or individually numbered 3/100, or 5/50 etc. we do have just that one. If you order it the item is immediately removed from the listings. We are always asked..."I saw this card yesterday and wanted to buy it today, where did it go??" If you see an item you'd really like to have grab it before someone else beats you to it!

What is a "Player/Set Watch" and how can I find newly added inventory without searching the whole site?
Perhaps the most unique feature we offer is our "Player + Set Watches". Here's how it works: If you are interested in Derek Jeter cards for example, sign up for him under our "Player Watch". The next time you visit our home page the 5 newest Jeter's will appear on the screen, no need to scroll through the site to see what's new! If you visit the site frequently you'll have an opportunity to buy the new arrivals before others even see them in our catalog! You'll also receive complete email catalogs every 4 to 6 weeks for the players and sets you've signed up for. This is a great way to keep track of all of the new releases and "closeout specials" we offer. You can add/remove players or set types at any time simply by changing your options with the My SMCCI feature.

An item has been marked "Out of stock" for a while, will you be getting more in?
There are certain sets and inserts that we just can't keep in stock consistently. Keep in mind our site has real-time inventory so we may have restocked and sold it again. If an item has been "Out of stock" for more than 7 days please email me and I'll let you know when another comes in.

What condition are the cards and sets in? Refunds/Exchanges???
All of our hand collated sets are Guaranteed to be complete and in NM/Mint+ condition as they have been since we started selling cards back in 1986. All factory sets are still sealed in their original wrappings.

All of our rookie and insert cards are Guaranteed to be clean, have 4 sharp corners, 60/40 or better centering (most newer issues are 55/45+, many have no "centering" in their design at all these days) and that "fresh from the pack" look!! In fact most of them are pulled right from packs and inserted into protective holders.

If you are unhappy with an item for any reason just email or call within 14 days of receipt of the package. We'll replace the items in question as quickly as possible. We very rarely encounter the need to but if we can't satisfy your concerns a refund or exchange can be made.

What is "Email a friend"?
When you are looking at an item there is a link to "Email a friend" on the right side. Click on the link, fill in the info and a hot link to this item will be sent to your friend. If someone wants to know what you'd like to receive for a birthday or holiday gift, this is a GREAT way to tell them and makes it easy for them to order it.

If you see a card marked as "1 left" or individually numbered 3/100, or 5/50 etc.. we do have just that one. For any other item change the "1" in the quantity box to "100" and click "Buy". A pop up window will appear with the exact # we have left in stock.
